Just a note on FTPing to a RDR - the file is first transmitted to a work disk owned by the FTP server. After the last byte is transmitted, the file then has toSENDFILE'd (equivalent) to your reader by the FTP server, and the FTP client doesn't hear from the server again until that process

This may be obvious, but if you're running a vanilla VM system you should increase the amount of spool space defined for the system before you start doing a lot with this technique. You can't crash VM by running out of spool space, but some very weird things will happen that are not obvious how
