Hi, listers,
How do I add page pack dynamically to the running system ?
Thanks in advance,

The z/VM Development Lab is looking for some information regarding
z/VM SSL server usage (this is the SSL for use with the VM TCP/IP
stack). If you currently use the z/VM SSL server or plan to use it
in the next few years, we'd like to hear from you to help guide some
design decisions.

I just tried Charlotte/RXSSL from my IFL system to the web server on the

sites that work. I suspect that it is a root certificate problem.
See the SSL.README that came with the SSL updates for CHARLOTTe.
Here is the problem, Fran:
We are an outsourcer; the RSCS network "belongs" to us; the TCP-attached

I would reecommend that you quit using the LPR command and set up you

Not a problem, it was easy to write one (especially since someone else

There is a DIAGD4 VMARC on my VM download site:
http://zvm.sru.edu/~download
It contains an assembler program to invoke DIAGD4 and a SAMPLE EXEC
that uses it.
There are two versions. I use the later version in z/VM 3.1

The problems in Boulder also seem to be affecting ptf.boulder.ibm.com

Guess I didn't need that TCPIP fix after all! :)

The Boulder site is currently down. This includes everything starting with
"publib.boulder.ibm.com" , "publibz.boulder.ibm.", and probably others.
This impacts access to most documentation. I do not know an ETA for
restoration. I have been able to confirm the outage only.

Richard,
Are you using VM:Secure? If you are, you need an "ACCEPT server DIAGD4"
record in your system rules file. If you're not running G0808, you also
need "GRANT SURROGAT TO server" in AUTHORIZ CONFIG. The rule was
supposed to supersede the GRANT in G0706, but it doesn't.
That's the problem with these newbie z/VM sysprogs -- they don't want to
look at the CP source code!;-)
Richard,
Every reference I've ever seen to SECLABEL is for printed output. On
systems set for B1 security levels, one can set a "security label" to
print at the bottom (or top -- don't
Do you need a "grant surrogate" perhaps?

Jim, Yes, you can always use the SERVP2P PPF. As a matter of fact, we
recommend that you use it. And if you need to create an override PPF for
your site, we recommend that you override the SERVP2P PPF, rather than a
base PPF.
Thanks Mike. I added the VMBACKUP DIRECT file and then used the AMDISK
statements manually to create the MDISK statements from the allocation
group. Worked great. Thanks very much for the help.
