That is very strange... Is it an option to just re-install the OS?
That would seem like the simplest option to wipe off all your personal
data at this point.

Hope that helps...

Oooh that does sound bad. In my experience, it's best to re-install if
an install crashes. You can run an Archive and Install, so that your
user settings and stuff stays the same, but it reinstalls the system.
That'll fix the problems.

I've never encountered that error before; (except with network

Are you sure? I know Mac OS has had sleep/wake features since OS 7 or
something. It's probably in a different spot, if I had any of my old
Macs with 10.2 I could check on that... Anyone still running 10.2?

You received this message because you are a member of the iMac Group, a group
for those using Apple iMacs and eMacs.
The list FAQ
, and Snow Leopard
wouldn't install on a partitioned HD without it having the GUID map.
And yes, I realize that the POP and SMTP are different protocols, I
just stated that just to let people know that it was only the SMTP
server that was having problems :)
Thanks again,

, 10.6 is totally worth $30, if only for Quicktime X, and
I believe upgrading to Quicktime Pro used to be about the same. ($30)
Plus you get speed and performance increases throughout the whole OS. :)
By the way, this is a really strange thread...
-Elliott Price

Yup, that about sums it up. Apple figures that if you never bought
Leopard, then you never paid the $130 for it, and therefore should buy
the way more expensive Box set Snow Leopard.
It'll upgrade Tiger anyways, though, so I don't know how they're going
to enforce this...
-Elliott
Well, like we all pointed out, you don't have to. There's still no
keycodes, either.

Good point, sometimes when you change hardware configurations, it
takes a long time to boot the first time. You might just leave it for
an hour and see if it boots eventually. If it does, it'll probably not
take as long in the future.

You could hook them up with Ethernet, and transfer the files with
FileSharing. Be sure to use a crossover ethernet cable.
Or, buy a cheap old external USB CD burner, then you can back them up
to CD's.
