get to the main texxt on a web page by using the Jaws key followed by enter.

In Windows 7, There is a Windows startup sound and a Windows logon sound.
But you can't change the Windos startup ssound itself. all you can do with
the Windows startup sound is choose to play it or not by checking or
unchecking the check box in the control panel

Control Panel, but it will change all sounds to something different. I do

A relevant thing I can say about start up sound is this. One night at about
1 o'clock, in a thunderstorm, I woke up and heard Windows 98 come on. My
computer was turned off for the night. So I had to get up wait for it to
boot, then turn it off. Had I not heard the sound, there could have been

you can change individual action sounds in windows 7 with these steps:
customize action sounds in windows 7
1. open control panels
2. select sound link
3. once in sound,select sounds
4. select preview (these are all the windows actions)
5. select the action you want to modify (you must selec
the startup sound cannot be changed trust me, only the windows logon sound
can be changed. maybe if you switch sound scemes the startup sound will
change, but not to a custom sound. google it there are many docs about
this!
