I am surprised that HP Performance Center or Loadrunner was not mentioned. That
is considered the top tool for performance testing. I have used both for years
and have participated in evaluations using Forester and Gartener and it is the
best comercial tool.

The only thing I can think of that would cause that is that your web browser
isn't using the proxy for local addresses. If you're using firefox, do you
have anything at all in the "No proxy for:" in your network settings? If so,
remove it and try again.

Better include host names in Thread Group names. Then then you'd load several
JTL into one listener and see aggregate values.
