[lace] App for lace designers with Macs

I don't on a Mac, but I do own Knipling and Lace 2000/Lace R-XP. I've had a look at Jo's Bobbinwork. Have to say that I'm obviously among the less intelligent when to comes to computer programs. I get on fine with Lace 2000/Lace R-XP and have designed quite a few pieces with it, but, after a

I do have a Mac and I also have Knipling (the Mac version) but like Jean I just don't get on with it and it's gathering dust on a shelf. From time to time I've looked at Jo's Bobbinwork, and had a dabble with EazyDraw but again I don't get on with them. Lace 2000/Lace R-XP has never been

I have no idea what Jo's Bobbinwork is supposed to do. I'm probably being thick, but there doesn't appear to be any instructions/help file on what to do with it. Under the links on the right of http://code.google.com/p/bobbinwork/ you will find links to user guides. I've managed to get

For those that use a Mac and are still looking for an alternative to the expensive Adobe Illustrator as a vector drawing program for your designs, I might have found something. I for one would rather spend those 800 $ for bobbins, pins and threads. The application is called EazyDraw and has

If you want a vector drawing program, you are better off getting the free open source Inkscape. Yuck! ... dont get me started :). First of all, it's not a native Mac application - it's a Linux port that uses X11, so it doesn't even have a proper menu and doesn't use the standard Mac keyboard
