I have two files each about 2000 KB.  When I merged them, the resulting file was nearly twice that size, yet I could see the names from only one of the files (at least that's what it looks like at first glance).  Why can't I see all the entries?  Legacy User Group guidelines can be found

You will need to be much more specific if we are to understand the problem - what sort of files - Legacy, Gedcoms? How did you merge - drag & drop, intellimerge. How did you have the RINs set? Are there many duplicates? etc. etc. Ron Ferguson

Graeme, When you are confident the relationship calculator is working properly, you can set relationship and then Search for Relationship equals not related. (not sure of the exact wording and I haven't got Legacy open at the moment). But I'd be a bit careful about deleting all these people.

The rtf out put seems to be only designed for use in Word. I have tried to view embedded photos in Word Pad, Works and Open Office and they do not transfer over. The only way of doing so that I have found is to put them in one at a time. I use Open Office for this and it works quite well - but
