In October I reported that creating a GEDCOM of part of my family file had a
strange result – any female with Mrs as part of an AKA name became Mrs in
the individual information view. E.g Jan BROWN (maiden name) marries John
SMITH. AKA is recorded as Mrs Jan SMITH. All is as it should be in the
Susan,
I don't know much about this but OVER is Event Over-Ride. It does not seem to
be a default for GEDCOM 5.5.
One thought I have is that you may have checked the box on the individual
screens to include these details in reports.

Jan,
I seem to recollect that at the time I advised that a workaround is to
customise the the Gedcom output by removing the ALIAS field.

Does Legacy plan to update the recording of DNA test options? Not everyone

Susan,
The _OVER tag is the event sentence definition. It's not one of the tags
that you should see exported in the Gedcom 5.5 format - are you sure that's
the format you've selected? When I exported to Ged 5.5, I didn't see that
tag at all.
I'm surprised that WorldConnect is importing it.

Gary,
You do not specify what you mean by no marriage information so I have taken
it to mean no marriage date.
This gets some way towards what you are looking forbut you may need to play

In Outlook Express just setting the options to send in plain text only is
not sufficient. You need to address the issue of replying in the same

Tish, I usually just email my Legacy back up file (that saves every
time I shut down) and then on the other computer, you can restore that

Firstly make sure that you use the Legacy Gedcom Option. On the second

Before you create the Gedcom ensure that you tick all the necessary boxes for

However if I wanted the whole of my data base I wouldn't do it this way

Firstly send the gedcom file as an attachment to the e-mail. When you
receive it on the other computer, right click on the attachment icon and go

Hi Tish,
If you're going from Legacy to Legacy - use the Legacy backup file
and restore it on the other computer. If you use a Gedcom everything

Whether everything will be included in a gedcom depends on
