I would record the letters as sources, transcribing the contents in the text
field or scanning them and attaching them as pictures, or both. The letters
probably contain information about various family members which you would enter
for those individuals and use the letter(s) as sources.
The way I see this is each person is born alone, and dies alone, and
everything that happens in between happens to each person individually.

To select how the file is sorted click on either "#:" to have the file print
in RIN sequence, "Given:" to have the file print by First Name or "Surname:"
to have the file print by last name.
At the bottom of that screen click on "Print"
Try this:
Search: Individual, Individual RIN, Greater than, 0 [zero]
That will select 100% of records. Then, at the bottom, select Print
-- then select fields, adjust page setup, etc. to your heart's content. You
may do many Preview iterations before you get just what you want.

As a side note, may libraries equipment will not work with the U3 as they
have software they want to down load onto the host computer. Our State
Library website tells users not to bring a U3 jump drive to use in the

When I click on the Index button and type in my own name, it brings up a
totally different person. If I type in my husband's name, it shows me as his
