Louise,
Yes, just add each as normal. Do note however that you cannot add them at the
same time. To clarify: Add Source 1, Save then add Source 2 and Save. Repeat
for all sources.

Ila,
Did you save the fist source before adding the second? It is now required.

Pat,
If I understand you correctly what you are getting seems to be correct. The
point of the Don't repeat duplicate lines refers to the whole line of
descendants from, in your case, Richard and Mary.
AS far as I know it is not possible to select only one of the spouses to have

Yes, the first source was added in an earlier version. I was able to add a
second source to one other record where the first source had been added in
an earlier version, but I have not been able to do it again.
The idea just occurred to me. Could there be a problem with that particular
record
Ila,
One never knows!! You could try FileFile MaintenanceCheck/Repair. When you
try to enter the new source please can you describe your procedure in baby
steps, so I can try and reproduce.

Hello:
Every time I run the Potential Problems the program completely freezes and I
have to restart it. I read in the archives that someone used to get 100%
complete, but I don't even get that. Advice?
Thanks!

It will be better if I use names to explain this one.

I know how to do a marriage and a divorce but can't figure out how to add
this re-marriage to the same guy.
On one of my files, for marriage status I have Divorce, Divorce, Divorce

Ron, I tried and failed, that is to get it to not put the source when I wanted

seeing on the screen, this was the wrong record, or whatever the problem was it

We added specific SourceWriter templates for those England/Wales records
because the indexes are at the national level. In the states, there is no
similar national index, every state does it differently.

I not read from/written to a Flash Drive directly from a progam for a long

From your first email I would be a little concerned about the problems which
you hit on uninstalling/reinstalling, and would remember these

Well. never mind. My problem seems to be solved.
I have been working from the .fdb file on a flash drive for several months,
moving forth and back between the desktop and the laptop.
Just for kicks and grins, I decided to copy the family file from the flash

Kathleen,
With Legacy closed, go to the c:\Legacy folder on your hard drive. Delete
the RptProbs.usr and ProbsList.usr files and then give it another try. The

If that doesnt solve the problem, go back to the folder and delete those

There are over 144 pictures attached . . . many duplicates. I'm thinking
about moving them out of the Legacy/Picture file, and attaching them again.
Any ideas???

I have found how to change Chr to Bap and back, but that makes changes
globally. I have family that some want Chr and others want Bap. Is there a
way to just change indv. Screens? If not, I changed it to be Chr/Bap on the
line. Is this acceptable for others who are in the same boat?

Kathleen,
I did like Jenny Benson suggests for my aunt who married a second time to
the same man after nearly ten years of separation by divorce. This could
result in some unusual report wording, but there are ways to handle this in
Legacy.
You can change the marriage wording any way that you
Exactly, Pat, and that is how I would wish to see it. For me, I would consider
it to be a problem if I had to search for the information relating to the other
partner. In other words, I want them to be together, which inevitably means
duplication.

A man was married 3 times. He and his 1st wife had 6 children.
He and his 2nd wife had 3 more. He and his 3rd wife had no
children.
Wouldn't he and his 1st wife only show the first 6 children; then
he and his 2nd wife would show the 1st six children as 1/2
children with the name of the
Shouldn't the Title Page indicate the multiple lines covered in the report

Seems like the Title Page might read:
Descendants of Joe Blow and Juli Jones
including associated families of Jim Smith and Lucy Crow; Dale Dunn and

I don't
Pat,
Strictly speaking, in my view you are correct, but this is not how Legacy sees
it. It is not possible to remove the 1/2 kids from the first marriage only.
Do remember, though, that this is only how they are shown on the screen, whilst
in reports and web pages the kids are shown
HI,
Yes this should work as you described below. What you failed to tell us is
what currently is showing. Do you have any 1/2 children showing?
