can directly import from any older format however, it is a one way
import... any changes in data done via FTM2008 must be exported to GEDCOM in
order to re-load into older versions of FTM.

If this is the official word from Legacy Technical support and the
company then I can assume that we will never see this support in the
software in the future. There are several very public messages today
that indicate that there are some of us who need this... granted we
don't always

I agree fully... I got a free copy of Roots Magic with my World Vital
Records subscription. Legacy has much more features except the ability
to record a Male-Male / Female-Female relationships.

In windows XP and Vista you can create a virtual web drive from a ftp
site. I will research the steps to do this and post them step by step
later this weekend. This is what I have done and I just save to that
drive... whammo everything is posted!
