The fact those boxes are greyed out means they're not an option in that
type of report. It's not an error, just trying to tell you you can't
have that option.

I keep all my email correspondence from cousins, near and far, and print
it out as pdf's. If it's source material (it isn't always) I attach it
as a source and put the relevant passage in the Source Detail Text and
the page number of the pdf. Some of these pdf's ramble on forever.

I don't know if Legacy includes 'Search' in its website options, but you

I would say the possibly the User ID if you're not using it for anything
else. They can be seen on the Individual screens and also the Name List.
You could also set up the Family View to include User ID in the 5th

This is also off topic, but Picasa is a train-wreck both in the IPTC and
backup areas, and I'd recommend avoiding it like the plague. It's also
useless for photo restoration, since that was the question.

god knows, we don't need another Microsoft proprietary method. I noticed
in the short time I had Windows Search 4 installed that it read IPTC
data from photographs. So maybe they have at least a faint clue what it is.

Restoring photos is not really a Legacy issue, so this can't go anywhere
except off-topic. Try Googling various search terms.

I've been suggesting it to Legacy off and on for at least a couple of
years. I have no idea if it's on their To-Do list or being ignored
completely.

Why do you think you need all your pictures in the individual picture
galleries?

Legacy already provides fields for birth, death, burial, marriage, etc.
Have you considered attaching your photos as source detail under the
Multimedia tab, i.e. as proof of the events? instead of making photos
into their own events...
