Hello list,
We patched many zLinux SLES servers and found that chmem and lsmem moved.
Here's an unpatched system:
# *which chcpu chmem lsmem lscpu*
/sbin/chcpu
* /usr/sbin/chmem /usr/sbin/lsmem*
/usr/bin/lscpu
Here's a patched system - lsmem and chmem moved to /usr/bin
# *which chcpu
I have RHEL 7 system on a mod-9 (10016 cup) ECKD DASD and want to move it
to a mod-27 (32759 cyl).
The disk is not in use, I used zVM/CMS to DDR the disk to the larger one.
Then I attached it to a zLinux system to format the back end of the disk.
After that I would remove the last partition and
Try this example that is run from the MVS side...
//U2MOCOPY JOB (USS2MVS),CLASS=A,MSGCLASS=X,MSGLEVEL=(1,1),
// REGION=1M,NOTIFY=
//*
//* BATCH TSO: OCOPY HFS file to MVS
//*
//USSTMP EXEC PGM=IKJEFT01
//INHFSDD PATHOPTS=(ORDONLY),PATH='/u/userid/.profile'
//INHF2DD
What is the correct syntax to move a file from USS to MVS? I am using:
cp file.name "//MVS_data_set(member)" but it's not working.
I sent this to the IBM MAIN listserv but I don't think my account is
working correctly.

Does anyone know if there are education providers (I'm
thinking colleges or IT education services)
provideres. that include a account on a VM system?
Thank you,

Hi Listserv,
With the information I received yesterday i was able to find the
hipersocket device in /sys/...
I tried to configure the Hipersocket via Yast but was not succesfull so
far.
when do dmesg i get the message:
qeth: loading qeth S/390 OSA-Express driver ($Revision: 1.77.2.20
Weet niet precies wat je probleem nu nog is...
Als de qeth / qdio modules zijn geladen vind je in
/sys/bus/ccwgroup/drivers de qeth driver.
De truuk die je dan doet is een
echo 0.0.0900,0.0.0901,0.0.0902 qeth/group
zodat je een tripod van 3 subchannels maakt. Vervolgens zie je dan
0.0.0900

I have no other user with administrative permissions to change anything. Does

I haven't read the whitepaper, but the overview (link below) indicates
that the author feels that companies using software which violates the

mentions the habit that vendors have of binary only Kernel loadable
