on the server (on hda in fact) are 8 days old !?
the data on hdc were correct (from friday).
All we know we changed the right hd, but it was not right one !?
2 questions:
- could dmesg make an error ?
- if yes why hda works fine (and old hdc too).

to make hard raid 1. I guest the hardware setup is badly
done, because linux does not want to boot:

I wrote about my ide-raid-1 crash (one hd was died).
I have changed this hd and all works fine now (raid my love :) )
except lilo (lilo-0.21-15) which does not want to run.
I have start with a floppy but need help to make it clean.

I found out the problem: lilo has to be done in linear mode.
So I have 2 ways:
- start with floppy disk
- or try to make lilo
We made test on a server with lilo on /dev/hda down and it did not
work. Any idea how to make lilo with /dev/hda died ? ;)
