This is called aggregation, and there are alot of solutions on the market for
that. A built in one in moss is the content query web part. But the thing with
that one is that it aggregates based on the type of content or metadata of the
content, and not based on location (you cant point to two

Correction -just got a correction from MS - they are not guaranteeing 64bit
support in future versions.
