good!
One mystery, though, which, hopefully, someone here can point me in the

Local sound on the client works fine, at least when the source is mplayer.

I enabled the root password on the client, and used a console to get this:
lspci -v
tells me that I have a Cyrix 5530 Kahlua multimedia audio chip.
lsmod | grep snd
tells me that I have a bunch of cyrix 5530 sound modules loaded.
So with this I reason that maybe the sound is muted?

volume control, and the sound on the server

Same login on a thin client and I didn't even get sound until I fiddled
with the sound setting and then it was choppy.
So something is not working right.

- This server was messed up by other personel, so I had to re-install.

Try to get Firefox 3 to work with Sound in Flash 9, I'am using LTSP 4.2
with ESD as sound daemon. With Firefox 2 I used esddsp firefox and Sound
was fine with Flash. But when I try to do this with Firefox 3, Firefox 3
doesnt start.
Any suggestions please ???

I need sound support. I think most of the sound will be in Firefox but
there may be a need for xmms and mplayer. It's all web based audio and
maybe some video. I know of two options
1. Configure sound from the server to the thin client
2. Setup local application support ( firefox )

Hi all.
I'm having some difficulties with sound on a lts running on suse10.0
with kde. The server machine has no soundcard and im using esd server.
On the client i get sound in some of the games ive used to test, namely
supertux, gnometris, frozen bubble. But i dont get any sound in anything
else.
