been using 'Itemize' in my Koma-script book.
The style tends to be:
* with a point
* or two
In word annd OOo I use 'keep with next' and 'don't break paragraph' and
widow and orphan control and the
layout engine
I find it distracting to have to go to the bibliography section and use
the (handy!) bibiography editor and then go back to where I was to add a
Citation.
It would be really handy if the Add Citation dialog had an option to
create a new one and pop in a reference to it in one go.

This is fixed now. See the layout file attached. The fix was to add:
Preamble
\usepackage{amsthm}
EndPreamble
to the layout file.
