Hi Bryan and Others,
Yes, until the point that you log into Kobo, all the book titles on your home
screen just get announced as button. But once you're logged in, the titles
under My Recent Reads get announced by VO and you can double tap on one of
the announced titles to open that book. Two
Hi Esther -- Thanks for following up on this. I did get Kobo working on my
iPhone after reading Anne's response on avis. It was a simple matter of my
needing to login to my kobo account. Once I did that, my library became visible
to VO, and when I logged out it became invisible again. I haven't
Hello everyone,
My husband got hold of Kobo 5.9 from the UK appstore and signed in with my Kobo
ID. He then turned VoiceOver on and handed it to me.
On the Home screen, I tapped the Library button and on the Library screen, I
selected All from the bottom toolbar. I could read the titles
Speaking of which. I found a link on Applevis site regarding the app in
question. It is labeled as inaccessible. Those of you who use this app can
comment on the site and discuss it there. Here is the link.

Hello Orin,
When you first open the Kobo app, assuming you've already bought a book from
the Kobo website, you'll find the Library button at the bottom left of the
screen. The button is just above the label saying Library. Tap this button and
you'll be on a screen containing, at the top
for any help with this.
Take care
Paula

Hello Paula,
I'm afraid my version of Kobo may be different from yours as I'm in France and
have the Kobo by FNAC version, which is the only one I can get here. You could
try having someone sighted look at it with VoiceOver off, but I see that Jane
hasn't had much luck with that approach
Hi all,
Just wondering do any of you use the Kobo platform on Mac or IOS? One of their
e-readers might be coming into the house. the reason we've gone with it is on
principle really as we don't want to buy, and support, Kindle. Given that Kobo
uses EPUB, can Digital Editions on mac handle
Hello Dónal,
I've been using the Kobo app on my iPhone for almost three years now and once
set up correctly, it's thoroughly accessible.
Kobo books can also be read on the Mac with Adobe Digital Editions. I can't
remember the authorisation process on the Mac as it's a long time since I did

we wanted to get something whereby if the book was purchased by my wife, I
could also access it.
Thank you.

Hi there
I know there has been some discussion about kobo on this list of late. I
would also be interested in knowing how to make this app accessible. I have
it on both the IPhone and the IPad and neither appears to work particularly
well.
Thanks for any help with this.
Cheers
Hello Esther,
Thank you for taking an interest in this problem.
I downloaded the Kobo by FNAC app and tried to sign in using my existing Kobo
details but they were not recognised.
This morning, I phoned the FNAC help line as shown in the Kobo by FNAC app, and
the technician I spoke
Hello everyone,
At some point since October 10 when I last bought a book, the Kobo site has
stopped recognising me and will not give me access to my library or allow me to
buy books. I called the help line but they were unable to be of assistance
since they weren't seeing what I see from here
Hi Anne,
I tried doing a search to find if there were any similar issues, and I found a
reference posted by someone in Japan at the end of July. From what I gather
from the web site description, Kobo entered into a partnership with a Japanese
company named Rakuten (which is meant
Hello Ian,
I've never found a synopsis on Kobo, but I just use Amazon for that then buy
from Kobo.

Cool, some books have them and some books don't. I had to reinstall the app

properly with the I device.

Hi Ian,
As Ann described, double tapping in the middle of a page will bring up an icon
gear button that you can double tap. The Kobo settings menu should let you
access a page settings page where you can specify your reading preferences.
Flick right past the heading of Page transition style
Hello Ian,
I've just looked at the Kobo settings and the heading you need to find is Page
transition style. Below this are several options and the one to select is
Scrolling.

Hi, will take a look at that and see if I can do it, I do like the app though
and there is a great choice of books. Can you buy books directly from the app
or do you have to buy them from the sight?

THanks, sorted it now. My brother popped round to do something and did it for
me as he's sighted and was able to find the write setting. He told me how to
get it in the future though. Love the app and seems like there is a good choice
of books. I got a book i've been trying to get hold of for
Hello Ian,
You used to be able to buy books directly from the app, but that changed a
while ago, so now you have to buy them from the website.
