If you can't create the points correctly using MapInfo on its own, then you
obviously would not have much success using Discover, as Discover is an
add-on to MapInfo (written by Encom Technology) that still uses the basic
functionality of MapInfo.
Possible causes are:
1) You are using

I have been using the spherical algorithm to calculate the area of field
polygons since upgrading to MI Pro 5.5. Is this the correct way for use with
Ordnance Survey data which is tied in to the British National Grid? The
reason that I ask is because I have been sent and Arc View shape file

Does anyone know of a translator\tool\wizard\magic brew that will take a
flat file with no geographics, but contains UTM coordinates (with 20

One other very important thing about converting layouts to PDFs. Do not use
PDFWriter. Print to file using a color postscript driver (not the distiller
PPD) and then use Distiller to convert it to PDF. The resulting file will
