Andrea,
You could have a look at GridContour and/or Triangulator from
Mercatorgeosystems.
Gridcontour creates contourmaps from any mapinfo grid (*.mig)
Triangulator is a triangulation packages that performs a Delaunay
Triangulation on any pointcollection (or centroids) represented in a MapInfo
Can someone enlighten me as what the difference between a .gst file and a
.mdf file is and how our application might be affected if we use one
format or the other?
.mdf is XML based; .gst not:
I have been told from MI people that .mdf has some enhancements

Greetings, List.
I hope someone can help me resolve the following problem:
Given:
1. A paper map of any country in the world with coordinates in meters.
2. GPS readings within this country in Long/Lat (no datum).
How can I find out the entry in Mapinfow.prj (projection file) which

Bonjour Michel,
Je pense que la solution à ton problème est de suivre la procédure suivante
:
- selectionne avec SQL Select les enregistrements correspondant à un
critère, Into Critère1
- avec le layer control ajoute la couche de selection : Add Critère1
- coche la 4ème case de label et choisi

I have exported map to Corel numerous times and I have had very good luck in
saving the map as a Windows Metafile (WMF). Use the menu command FileSave
Window As. Since metafiles are vector based, all of the map geometry will be
preserved. In addition, you will be able to edit the original map
Hi List,
I have written a MapBasic application which is utilising data from tables
in an Access 2000 database.
I am using the Server Link Table to create multiple linked MapInfo tables
on disk using the following code:
Dim ConnNum As Integer
ConnNum = Server_Connect(ODBC,DLG=1)

Dear Alex,
What you dream of today is but a dream. Eventually that will be realized
as more and more countries continue to standardize on the International
Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF) coordinate system and ALL legacy mapping
is replaced. When will that occur?
Beats me; probably
I am having difficulty printing to the above plotter. The labels for my
highway shields are offset. They are all off to the top of center, but
vary from left to right. My legend text also is displaced on my region
style. Any suggestions?

MapInfo seems to have lost about 15% of it's value since this thread started. That
might get their attention even more than sales.
Maybe it's MapPoint.

Probably not. He and _all_ other insiders have been selling fast and
furiously for at least two years, at
78,000 Shares? $2.5 Million?
We should be more trusting of the folks over at MapInfo. I'm sure Mr.
Gersuk just needs a new Lear Jet. :)

You suggest that there has been a rush to sell by MapInfo insiders? This is
simply not so. I see a fairly well run small company with some of its
officers exercising their options knowing that they may have more yet to
come.
At best all I can see in the last 30
I've been experimenting with a View Table created using a table of polygons
in MapInfo, and attributes linked to an Access database. There are 498
records in the polygon table and 66 records in the Access database. Thus the
View Table creates a one to many relationship.

Myself, I am keeping my eye on the ball and the near-term potential for

Since my last posting about a View Table, I went and modified the From
statement.
In my previous posting, the line containing From only listed the
Geological Attributes Access-linked table (which contained 66 records).
I have no added my polygon table name Geology whcih contains 498 records.
