Hey all,
I *really* need help on the above issue. I'm a minidisc (R50) owner,
looking to tape concerts with a fairly good mic. Due to the low NZ exchange
rate and postage costs, buying from sound-pros, core-sound etc... through
the internet is just too expensive. So it has to be one available in

Stop in your local best buy , circuit city or similar store, and go to
the camcorder section. Look for the camcorder accessories, for a shot
gun mike and you can record from a distance and not get the side noise.
they may be mono instead of stereo though.

Hello,
Can anyone recommend a good mic preamp for use with a portable MD recorder?
Preferably one that is reasonably portable also. I've seen the MidiMan
Audiobuddy, but I wasn't sure how good it was. Basically, I'd like to record
a piano from a distance (maybe 5-10 feet away), but boosting the
I would recommend http://www.soundprofessionals.com Possibly Kheops

I need to purchase a microphone (inexpensive) for my mini. I need to make
music recordings from it (for my church choir) and they need to be adequate,
but certainly not concert quality. Suggestions?

Hi Guys
we have a Sharp MS702 and a stereo mic which we use for recording
live performances of small chamber music/choir performances &
rehearsals, and we want to upgrade the mic. We're thinking about
either a Sony ECM 957 or an Audio Technica AT-822, which cost about
£200 or £300 respective

Is there any way to make a small modification s
Hi,
The AT822 is certainly better than the Sony model, but you should also
consider the Beyer MCE82 stereo mic as this is superior to both.
My company supplies the Beyer at £279 + VAT. See our website at www.pass.uk.com

Check out www.soundprofessionals.com
I've been using these stealthy units, and they work great.

I'm new to the list and have gone through the archives for a while today
looking for recommendations for a microphone.
I've got an MZR-30 and have in the past used a small-ish Sony stereo mic (I
haven't got the model # with me) as well as an Audio Technica mic (I believe
the AT822). The AT mic
It should be very handy and you should get good recordins from it. If

the Sound Porfessionals one, you can't go wrong with it.

However, I'm so new to MDs that I didn't realize that the 702 didn't have a
