Just following up on my previous post.
The Sony MDR-888LP earbuds do sound nice -- for earbuds -- after some
break-in time.
I did get the Grado SR-60 headphones. They look ugly... but that really is
a feature. And they sound great.

heard. I bought them before buying a not-cheap-but-still-cheap component
system, and I chose my speakers by finding the pair that sounded most like

My school has a pair of KOSS, i don't know what model, but they're designed
specifically for portable pro use. The

Stock headphones generally suck. You also never find stock circumaural
(they fit around the ear rather than sit on it) headphones.
