Im sure I can figure out how to override the computer to close the
wastegate, but the problem is, how to include overboost protection.
Swapping in a pressure wastegate instead of a vacuum one makes sense,
not sure exactly is there are parts available to do that or not.

the only way a GTO is going to do 220 mph is if it's hit up the back side by
a Bugatti Veyron! 500 hp or more just isn't enough to push that boat
through the air to those speeds, regardless of how you gear it. Those

I have an '86 190E 2.3 5 16V 5 speed, which was available in US in
1986 and 1987. About 2,000 were built to US specs, about half manual
- half automatic. Many more were built for Europe '83-'88. US model
was detuned a bit and suffered from less horsepower - 167 vs 184
IIRC.
For replacement head shopping, check with our two sponsors, one for used

There are head numbers to be sure of and so
if you are talking about the overvoltage relay, yes it does. I will
check it but I do not think its the problem. Usually when its not
working the idle will be real low, the abs light will be on, and the ac
will not work. Dont have those problems.
