For those who were interested, this turned out to be a broken coil
spring on the right strut.
Struts were original and at 115K miles, decided to just put in new
quick struts on both sides (strut and spring assembly) rather than try
to replace the spring by itself.

An assembly is warrented at that milage, as the shocks probably
aren't much good anymore. I've had a spring compressor come off a
strut while changing the shock, I do NOT recommend this ( I was
lucky, I suppose, as I ALWAYS keep body parts away from potential

doesn't have Bosch, a Bosch Licensee, or a Bosch knockoff, it is
likely Stanadyne. The only other IP maker is CAV, which appears to
be a lot like RoosaMaster.
