Oil feed line is on top, under the EGR assembly. You will probably
need to also remove the 10 mm screw that holds the line to the
bracket, and possibly the fitting on the block as well. Not a big deal.

Pretty much standard to remove lines since they are always in the way. Make
sure you cap the IP delivery valves as well as injector so no gunk gets in. I
use the fingers from rubber gloves. Put the lines back when you are through
and then leave the injector side a little loose so they bleed o

A few weeks ago I replaced the glow plugs on my 1983 300D. Removing the
injector lines first made it a real easy job. I used a special socket
designed to remove the injector lines and that sped up the job. I saw no down
side.

manifold with a white rag and after a highway drive, checking to see
if oil is leaking out there.

The turbos can be either Garrett or KKK. They were used interchangeably
from the factory. You do not need to take off the exhaust manifold. You
will need the metal gasket that goes between the turbo & the manifold. You
may need to purchase studs or new copper nuts if you have problems. The

A very large box with a connector, which from prior experience looks like the
burglar alarm that used to be under the kick panel
