Good question. I don’t know. I’m not even sure there are variations in the
case so that I would have to have a specific one. I don’t think there are.
Quite honestly, I don’t care about the cosmetics, as it’s buried out of sight
next to my desk. As long as it works and I can access the inside

The hum appears to be the four 15k RPM drives. I’m not used to having high
speed enterprise grade drives in my machines.
Check that one off as normal.

Just fired it up. Other that a strange low frequency resonance of some kind
that’s coming from the machine, it works. Passed diagnostics and seems to be
happy.

If you have a package that you really, really don't want lost or possibly
damaged, it needs to be insured as "High Value".

Good to know that. I've been lucky about damage and haven't had to file any
claims. UPS seems to be far better locally than Fedex.

I have a Mac Pro 1,1 that’s been running El Capitan flawlessly since it was
released. There is a boot loader that can be run which requires changing a
couple of boot.fi files and all is well from that point on.
If you need specifics, let me know. I’ve been using the MB 1,1 since Mavericks
