Hello all,
I have a quite silly question I guess but it's been bugging me up
recently.
A client has just acquired a SAN for his servers.
Between these servers he also has 2 mysql ones.
What would happen if I were to def
roup Filesystem, etc and same
installation/working directory for several Mysql instances)
Thank you,

Hi
The docs aren't clear on this. Is mysql_close needed on a MYSQL struct
previously initilized with mysql_init after a failed mysql_real_connect ?

PS: please let me know when you mysql devs decide to check for connection
to be online on mysql_real_escape_string() :)

e MySQL server is a 4.0.13, linux binary distribution from a mysql
mirror. The load average on the SQL machine is under 1. The SQL server has
an average of ~200 queries/s (in 30 days).
What should I do to debug this problem and find out the cause ? Thanks
Mihai
em is that we have to way to use the
new versions as all MySQL versions starting from 3.23.50 "freeze" on high
load.
Thanks

table/database basis? Like if I want to know which one is the most
accessed table and stuff like that. Having log-bin enabled.
Thanks

watchdog script which checks for system load and restarts mysql
(mysqladmin shutdown) when load is "too high" :(
Can somebody give us any hint ? Also if I need to give more info about the
configuration of this server pleas

connecting to mysql? I tried with mysql skip grant tables but it does not
work. Is there any chance I could gain control over it again?
