figure out how to drop the database, and had no luck. I then went as
far as uninstalling mythtv and mysql, then re-install both and start
over. I am getting the same problem when I run mythtvsetup. My whole

I've recorded some material from my pcHDTV 3000 unit that I'd like to
burn to DVD. It's 4:3 material. Trouble is, it's got black bars
encoded *as part of the picture frame itself* on the left and right
sides. This seems fairly typical when stations broadcast a digital
version of an analo

I figured out the problem. When I created a new MythVideo File
Association under Video Settings -> File Types, I created it as
".iso". It should have been "iso".

And I don't think it receivers IR signals from elsewhere, because the
signals are exactly like the ones from the remote. That is, in irw it
says "Play, Play, Pause, Power, Pause, 1, 1, 2" etc etc.

I have tried everything to center the Guide that is available during TV playback. The guide is cut off on the left top area. I have Googled and tried tons of things. I'm using a PVR350 (Svideo) out. Adjusted the GUI width and offsets has no affect. I also tried to adjusting TV playback setting

and have device mapper userland utils available. i may be off the mark
since i use evms which allows LVM2 format for evms volumes.
