In response to question (4), people have had good luck using an XBox as
a front end. Total cost would probably be around $200-$250-- and it's
very small!

I've put the "ConnectedMonitor" "DFP" statement in my xorg.conf, but I
still see no output. Does anyone have any tips on how to do this? I'd
also love to see an example xorg.conf file...
for MPEG2 decoders w/ DVI
