I am interested in this too, but when I tried this with just alt+Fanynumber it
didn't work. On my installation of Mandrake 6.0 I have to use
ctrl+alt+Fwhatevernumber to make it work.

To get Staroffice 5.1a to recognize java
download 2 files from blackdown.org and place them in the
/usr/local directory

I have a couple of questions relating to sound and modems
I installed an ESS1868 sound card and got it working ok in KDE. When I'm in
gnome enlightenment I can play music CD's but none of the system sound
effects play. Is this a problem with gnome? In KDE everything works fine.

The tubes were nice and really made it a lot easier to work on and repair
things. I also miss them. I used to work on radios and tv's, but have since
