If you don't find a way, might be worth taking a look at the KDE mail
client called 'Kontact'. I don't use it but I've heard very good things
and I've just located a 'check

no offence, and it should be obvious one of the best things about linux is
the number of ways you can configure it, the choices of apps and desktops,

ximian would have to be something very special to make me like gnome. :-D

Hello,
I installed KDE 221 on my LM8 box. After installing I

I wanted to rename default to Gnome but couldn't be

No, it stands for switch user. If you look at the man or info page, you shall
see that it allows you to switch to _any_ user, not only the superuser.

I assume that by localhost you mean the login prompt. If so, you need to log
in as root, not su. su is a console command which stands for switch user; it
is not a user in itself.

Hi all
I have downloaded the ximian-gnome installer from www.ximian.com and all
the rpms from ftp.ximian.com/pub/ximian-gnome/mandrake-80-i586.
Do I uninstall my current corresponding gnome rpms and then run the

Or perhaps I shouldn't
