No, you will have to start implement things yourself. Of course, this
will be more than welcome (as far as the API is useful).
The main issue I see by reading your mails, is that you didn't try to
find out how feasible is it to do what you're trying to do, using only

OOo uses GStreamer on Linux to support multimedia content.
GStreamer can be considered nowadays as the default multimedia framework

the Phonon framework uses GStreamer as the default backend.

That red artifacts on presentation mode are also displayed on Linux when
built with dbgutil. So this is system independent, and anyone could reproduce
it by building with --enable-dbgutil.

as you said before, NL project will be better o the wiki, and let the
$LANG.openoffice.org be just a translation of www.openoffice.org, with
the same look and feel as the main site.

x library has already been built in sax module, in the old build
system, with the DLLPOSTFIX cleaned, so that it's named simply libsax.so.
Gbuild does not find libsaxfx.so, so it tries to build.

problem would be really appreciated.
without seeing any code, it is hard to guess. Did you already set
a breakpoint at UploadDialog.java:181 and see why you are sending the
message setText to a null object?

/usr/local/lib[64] is not in the linker's default search path (manual
tweak of /etc/ld.so.conf is required). So in Fedora, -L/usr/local/lib
is not enough.
By the way, why do have icu in /usr/local/lib? Is this the default path?
Do you have another icu version in another directory?

So I don't see a drawback here for the common user, nor the power user.
The situation is almost the same as before.

The people actually developing the dictionary build the extension and
upload them to that site.
The same situation as before (the only issue is with the extension's
site not working properly).
