Hi all,
I read chapter 8 of the otrs manual which describes that I should use
sendmail or exim with it. I'm using James stmp/pop server mail and would
like to know if anyone as any experience with it ?
Thanks for your help,
Laurent

Well, I got the .pl to work. How did I do you ask? By creating a
symbolic link from /var/www/localhost/Kernel to /usr/
ln -s /var/www/localhost/Kernel /usr/
I think perhaps I'm going to have to open a bug in Gentoo's ebuild area.

For the last few months, the stats graph is showing some 60,000
actions a day. This dwarfs any other kind of information I might
derive from the graphs because those other actions only range in the
100-200 mark. All other actions are such a small amount that they
don't show on the graph at all.

When I try to run any of the .pl ( i. e. GenericAgent.pl, CheckDB.pl,
etc...) I get this error:
Can't locate Kernel/Config.pm in @INC (@INC contains:
/usr/Kernel/cpan-lib /usr /etc/perl
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.4/i686-linux
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/
At this point I don't know what to say. Never used Gentoo and am not
a great linux expert to begin with. I would recommend starting a new
message to the list that states the problem with Config.pm not found
in @INC. Get that resolved and then we can pick back up the
discussion of GenericAgent.

If only. It did not fix the problem, I'm still getting that same error
when trying to run GenericAgent.pl

I noticed that there is a chanserv operated channel on
irc.freenode.net #otrs
Can we open that channel up again for questions and such?

My GenericAgent.pm is located in /var/www/localhost/Kernel/Config/
my GenericAgent.pl is in /usr/bin/
I don't know why everything is all over the place, but it is very
strange. The ebuild for Gentoo didn't create a /opt/otrs director. so

Well, when I try to run 'GenericAgent.pl >> /dev/null' at a prompt I
get this output:

I can get to the login page, but when I sign in the queue
page shows briefly, then it shows page cannot be displayed. If I catch it in
time with [esc] then I can view the page. The customer interface works just
fine. I have removed all refresh options, restarted the mysql, mercury and

Hi
I just upgraded otrs from 1.2.3 to 1.3.1 and everything works fine,
except for some minor issues. These error messages shows up in the log.
When i try to get some stats, it shows up empty and i get this error
message:
OTRS-CGI-10[9090]: [Error][Kernel::System::Ticket::HistoryTicketStatusGet][L
Thanks for the reply. I need it to be that way because I will use OTRS just
for 'internal customers'..

Perhaps that discription was a little confusing. Basically,
two e-mail messages just keep reappearing in our postmaster queue around
midnight. The messages were originally sent on 9/1 and now they keep reappearing
as if they are new tickets.

I've set up the GenericAgent.pm exactly the way you showed me. Do I
have to set up cron jobs or something? I have set up cron jobs to
execute the GenericAgent.pl every 2 minutes, but still no luck. I've
waited since last night and the test ticket that I
