Why don't you record it, using any peace of software, and save it as a
stereo file. then, edit it as you please.

I don't have that program.
I'd get it, but they won't let you place an order for it over the phone.
You have to protect your credit card info if you know what I mean.

Ok, well anything's possible, I'm not going to argue about it either
but to my knowledge my CD drives are working, I think its just too
easy for people to use the argument that people are using faulty

for Exact Audio Copy
Ok, well I don't think that Exact Audio Copy can be described as a
gimic, the technology used in Exact Audio Copy has been used for a
long time under LINUX in various CD Rippers, its also used in Max
Audio Ripper under the Mac and LINUX.

Exactly, when they say "losless" then that's exactly what they mean.

There should be no difference at all in sound quality between FLAC and WMA
lossless and little or no difference in file size. The choice is really
then about support for the format. That is, how many software and hardware

Is there a tremendous difference in flak lossless verses WMA lossless? It

Well, maybe you have a reading problem too. I actually said worrying about

I don't know if this would be of much help to you, but there is a very small

Yep thanks for that, again I'm at fault a bit here, when I spoke of

Exact Audio Copy and Max Rippers have such tools and I dare say o

With regard to off-sets, I have an Elisis hard disk mastering box

The one that caught my attention on that page was the Audiax ii. Anyone

Dear Dear, perhaps I didn't explain things correctly, when I meant comparing
wave files I meant actually comparing them with your PC, Mac or whatever,
that's one of the many wonders with computers, you can compare the files

Well, you've maybe interpreted "a bit dodgy" for "falling to bits". What
I'm getting at is that a CD transport spins a disc at a very high speed and
a CD-ROM isn't usually built for a computer in the same way as it is for a
standard CD player. Typically, the disc is not held as securely and so
programs like winamp have crossfading features.

Only thing I can suggest is to rip them as a wave, open in gold wave or sound
forge
and resave as a stereo wave file. Then you could reedit and enhance the stereo
field. It won't get true stereo which isn't really possible starting out with
a mono

Your situation would be that you have a bit of a dodgy CD-ROM drive if you
need to use EAC. If you have a good quality drive you don't need to go to
those extremes. You should always use error correction of course which will
slow down your media player rips but you will get perfect results wit
Are you aware of a small battery powered FM transmitter? I want
something to broadcast the output from a ZenStone to an FM radio up to
twenty feet away. I have a Sound Feeder but that isn't working well enough
