The legs are independent of the heads. You can put pretty much any tripod head you want on your Bogen legs. My SO uses a CR2 system head and she's happy with it. One item you might want to consider is the Bogen Junior Elbow Bracket for the CR2 system. It makes it much easier to shoot vertically

I have a friend who is the radio officer on a container ship, it is 5 weeks for him to go from Oakland, CA to the Orient and return. So ~2.5 weeks from loading to unloading stateside, and who knows how much longer to get into the stores. I imagine other ports have similar shipping times. jm -

Ann - I just bought an adaptor for about $20 that will let you put an SD card into a CF slot. It looks like a CF card with a slot that accepts the SD card. I have a bunch of CF cards for the istD and all of my other cameras take SD cards. For $20, it seemed like a good idea. See you later, gs <

It's not the same as the ones I have, but looks very similar. Yes, if you use one of these, you can use only one type of media card. It's not quite as convenient as having CF cards for CF cameras as you typically have to put the SD card into the adapter and then insert that whole assembly

The D's maximum write speed is slow enough that the 15% potential performance degradation of a 60x SD card will never be noticed in- camera. Adapters of this type fit in my Canon, Sony and Konica MInolta cameras. I have two of them and use them interchangeably with CF cards. I can't imagine

That's true. I mainly want it becase my Flash trax only accepts CF cards. With the adapter I can use my Flash Trax while shooting with the DL ;-) I find my self using both cameras simultaneoulsy - the 24mm on the DL and diffent lenses on the D (preferably a 28-70mm or a 80-200mm). This is much fas
