Well, I was simply interested to know where the supposed custom function is
hiding that turns the feature on and off.
JCO's DS seems to fire with no card present and mine doesn't.
Just curious as to why.

Yes - these old TTL only flashes are useless with the K10D. There's not even
a sensor in that flash.
Ii use old Metz flashes with a sensor. They work great. But I do miss TTL
too.

For me it seems pretty much as genuine Pentax 110/Auto110 set case.
Those sets were available in two different sized carton boxes, brown
leather case ad neat aluminium case.

I think that if you already tried the viewfinder and the K10D is
larger than what you want, then the SR and better AF performance (even
if not way better) makes it a good upgrade for you, IMHO I would say
go for it.
