Found an AF-200FG for $20 when Wolf Camera was going out of business. It does pretty much the same thing as the tiny Vivitar except it's dedicated. The only problem I've had with it is the manual is not available for download. I like to keep a PDF version of all the manuals for the equipment

Back when they were current, I recommended one to a friend, (from Wal-Mart), for $14.00, I bought one for myself when they went on sale for under $8.00. Still have it. Not fancy but they work. It would cost too much to replace it. Just don't put them on an electronic camera. Trigger

PJ, you're right. There is a bounce version and an older non-bounce. Though the bounce feature is kinda funny to me as I don't remember it having enough power to bounce off the ceiling! I would almost go for the 2400 except that I want the auto modes on the 2000. But you're right about it being

I'm looking to consolidate my flash collection to a single type of flash that will do all I need. I currently have 2 AF360 FGZ and 2 AF500FTZ flashes. I tend to use the AF 360's in PTTL mode and am happy with the results except when they simply aren't powerful enough to do the job required

Leon, I'd recommend Metz flashes. Those are excellent and often better than flashed from manufacturers. You want to check 50 AF-1 and 58AF-2 flash guns. The ysupport Pentax completely which means wireless the Pentax way etc, PTTL and HSS. http://www.metz.de/en/photo-electronics/novelties.html
