AFAIR the ISO os not displayed all the time but pressing OK (like on a
K100D) will show it in the viewfinder. Also, with SV,TAVmode the ISO
will of course be shown.
They said it WILL be released with 12bit RAW but maybe an update will
change things.
Obviously with DNG it would be very easy. The

The AF/MF switch on the lens will work

The switch on the lens disengages AF in the lens directly, and tells the
body that it's been done (ensuring nothing bad happens to the motor).
It's also much more conveniently located than the on-body switch
typically.
Some would say too

Thibouille, would you please ask whether the new lenses with in-body focus
motors will also autofocus with earlier bodies? That is, will they include the
autofocus drive shaft?
Thanks,

I can't I'm back home unfortunately.
They weren't able to comment much on those USM lenses but told me
the development is still going on which means IMO whatever is planed
now could be changed from here till the release so I don't think it
would be a reliable information anyway.
Well seing how
Thibouille, how was the build of the K10D? Was it a solid camera with
a nice-looking finish, or did it look and feel cheap?
Thanks for your report!

I'm not Thibouille, but I saved his earlier post. Here's an excerpt:
* Weight is defenitely more than D/DS/DL. The grip is extremely well
done (for my morphology). The directional pad is well done (compared
to my D, it is like heaven).
* The impression of quality is there. It feels VERY well

According to Thibouille and others, the build quality
is better than the *ist D.
I take that it to mean that must be very good, since
the D was very nicely put together for an advanced
amateur camera.

Thanks, guys! I missed that in Thibouille's original post.

I saw the Sony Alpha today and was shocked at how
plasticky and cheap it felt.
It's not THAT bad... Don't get me wrong; it's not GOOD
but have you ever felt a Canon Rebel? Now they REALLY
feel like crap... Next to those, the A100 doesn't feel
so bad.
But it is

And the link to Pentax is?
On 26/9/06, Digital Image Studio, discombobulated, unleashed:
Tenuous but the Nucore post processor which the K10D may or may not
use has integrated facial recognition features.
Just because you are full of the joys of spring meladdo...

What you see on the site is the daily newspaper Cygnus publishes and
distributes for free at photokina. Today's edition, the first one,
is made up mostly from pre-release announcements. Tomorrow's may be
more interesting.

Hi
Pls do us all a favour and grill the reps on the pentax stand to get
