access to, try scale model glue as it melts the parts along the contact
area, care not to use too much glue - you may end with a modern art
sculpture.
If you go for the glue, prepare a surface to place the hood while it

Gorilla Glue might work. You can find it in most good hardware stores.
But I would think a replacement lens shade is relatively inexpensive.
BTW, I'd test that lens for accurate autofocus and a flat field, just
to make sure you didn't knock something out of place.
