, the way to achieve it is by
knowing the diameter of the pinhole, which in turn allow you to find the
f/stop of your set up. http://members.home.com/penate/pinhole.html has a
link to an article explaining how to measure diameters using a scanner.

and IMO can easily be used in a pinhole set up, you know, screwed to wooden
box, taped to a cardboard box, etc.
Just thought to let you people know, for the benefit os those that, like me,
didn't know this things existed.

1160 is unfortunately out of production, you see some once in a while at
eBay. Its fame is so great, soon it might become a cult printer, very
much like a plastic Diana camera is today, commanding -perhaps- higher
prices than when new.

Again, a glass lens works in the same manner, too.

expensive (and scarce in some areas), he buys OneStep cameras instead.
SX-70 have better optics than OneStep cameras, but if your aim is to do
emulsion manipulation, optics quality should not matter. Anyway, that is an
alternative if your SX-70 can't be revived.

Andy,
Nice to know about that test. I'll go see if the lab that told me
they'd process 8x10 Ilfochrome free for me, still have the offer standing!

I don't know if people did store the camera/film on purpose, but I don't see
anything wrong in doing it purposely, it'll be like a time capsule...I
think I will do it!

The other way around, actually. Focal distance at infinity divided by the
apparent diameter. I know that is what you meant, but thought to mention it

Guillermo
have reciprocity failure multipliers for common 35 mm films?
For manufacturer maximum suggested exposure times reciprocity corrections just
go to their web sites. I know Kodak, Ilford and Fuji have them there.

A shutter taken from an old camera is the easiest route, but if you want to do
it yourself, check Doug Bardell's site, his picture of the shutter alone should
be enough to do yours.

Thanks for that Guillermo,
so as understand it it doesn't matter what the shutterspeed is for you meter
reading its the f-stop
style!!
BTW, if 1 heater can't copy with the volume of water, nothing prevents you from
having 2 heaters.

technique works pretty well with my barrel mounted lenses, don't see why it
wouldn't work for pinholing.

Thanks for everyone who answered my query. As I stated I am having this
problem only on about 1/2 of my

Under non-cloudy day, the sun is virtually infallible, take a meter reading
using your SLR and comparare results.
Guillermo
Is it possible for you people to post an example of an image exhibiting the
mentioned problem?

Hey Guillermo,
I love your cameras! Hard to think that anybody could make pictures with
those contraptions ... But then nobody in their right mind would even think
that they actually are image-making boxes.

Basically any camera can be converted to whatever focal length you want/need.
I also have a 6x6 with a focal length of 35mm, done in a similar fashion as the
12mm above.
Hope this images gives you some ideas.
