Hmmm. Why would you put that and not just music/children of bodom ?
(The plugin can handle spaces in station names)
Or was it generated by the plugin/lastfm somehow?
What does a 'music' station do - I've not seen one before?
James
Well I cant exactly remember how I put it in.. either I copy/pasted it
from the last.fm page.. or I generated it somehow via the web
interface.
For some reason the last.fm page (in contrast zu the other station
links) seems to generate music links with + instead of spaces - no
idea why, since it
That's what it's supposed to do.
The first link is 'play default station' and in this context 'default'
means the last station you listened to. I guess it could do with the
different label...

Ah, I see.
The way the plugin works is that it starts playback, which is always
going to be from the last played station, then in sends a change station
request. If the change station request fails at all it would carry on
playing the default station, which could be what's happened here.
There
Michael,
Thanks, this works great!
This along with the TRACKNUM. tag gives me everything I could hope
for. Awesome plugin. Thanks again!

Sometimes it seems to be associated with Slimserver starting up faster

In summary - if this is the problem just restart Slimserver.

Hmm, that was actually what I suspected.. so I guess what happens some
of the times is that you start playback, but the change station request
doesnt get through.
But since the last.fm severs are not very reliable, there seem to be
quite a few times where this happens.
So if there was a way to
Yes, I was suspicous too because of the - -, but I double checked:
there's only spaces between the - -.
Actually for me it seemed faster with fast scan disabled, but could be
because I had scanned the db before and maybe there's caching involved
somewhere.

Did you check the permissions? If your slimserver is running as a service
it probably (but not very likely) can't access it, if it doesn't have
default permissions.

Ah ok. so I thought it would look up the missing cover art on amazon and
automatically save it to the respective album folder (or even better the
mp3tag as well), so it would slowly build up the cover library while it
played. That would be awesome :-)
But it wasn't thought to be this way, but

Excellent - thanks for letting us know.
Others have reported some residual problems over that SS/MIP bug so
there's definitely something else to be fixed there at some point in the
future. It seems to work OK for me, too, but I've not had much time to
look into it recently.
Thanks,

Great skin. Some functional improvement that imho would benefit the
whole:
1) integration with Erland's trackstat, which would allow for a much
easier way to sort and view your music
2) Radio integration
3) A link to get to server settings
Excellent work so far, my friend.
