Okay so I merrily deleted all the posts regarding the 5300 with the sizzle sound. Well... Murphy is here! Got a 5300. Hot battery. Press power, nothing. Press reset, green light - solid, not blinking. Press reset again and we got the sizzle, but no steak. What was the list's consenses? Jim -

PB 1400 e-net problem

I have a PB 1400 running OS-8.6. I recently switched my PCMCIA ethernet card from an Asante FriendlyNet to a Farallon LAN/Modem card. I installed the software for the Farallon card and removed the Asante software. My problem is that the AppleTalk settings for the card keep shifting to Modem/Print
