Greg,
For dampness, I purchased a small battery operated fan similar to the one at

Any time I am in bed, I have the fan blowing on my groin area
I'd also recomend trying the bag balm ointment for dry skin. For damp areas I
use Gold Bond powder.

I use aloe wipes every morning after my shower. They have seemed to help
with the redness.

Hate to sound gross but I put a dry wash cloth between my legs at night to
absorb the wetness.
I've always had good luck with the diaper rash stiff they use on babies,
Desetin, Zinc Ointment, and A D ointment. Greasy and gooey but it all
seems to work on me.

Anti-fungal creams since yeast is a fungus. I can't remember the name of
one or two that works the best that I can find out if you want me to.
Also, LANTISEPTIC (a great skin protectant that I found just four years ago)
works wonders keeping on top of my skin that starts

For 4 weeks - 2x per day use Lotrimin powder on affected area.
Clean and dry area thoroughly and rub in powder.
I tend to use Nizoral (ketoconazole) to take care of some of the fungus I
used to get in between my legs. Thankfully I have been able to eliminate
most of those problems as of late by keeping my body hair trimmed way back.
That doesn't work, however, in the area you guys are discussing.
There is

I had to do the exact same thing as Kathy. And for the same reason.
DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY to the rescue!
The problem arose out of home nursing incompetence. When I got my first bad
wound in the crease between the buttock and thigh (worst possible place to
get one) -- home nurses were adamant to
a rash looking thing on my
inner thighs and always get conflicting opinions.
Thank You,

I went to my doc about my new butt sore. Unfortunately there was no way for
him to see it. He has no bed / table that I can get on. Butt, he signed me

too bad. She will come out 2x a week. I wear boxer briefs, so it should

I get them there occasionally. They're caused by internal pressure from the
ischial tuberosity on the bottom of the pelvis. Google that term to see
what it is.

That's where I get skin trouble when it occurs. Staying out of my chair

The arrows point to the ischial tuberosities. You have one on each side of
