I have a Radio to go with my three Booms and one Duet. I think my Radio

I don't use the alarm and use a local SBS. It does crash occasionally,
it happened twice last month, but when it does it just restarts without
any input from me.

I believe there are "built-in" screensavers with different options. Go
to "settings/screen/screensavers" and select the screensaver you want

If you are using a local Squeezeboxserver (instead of
MySqueezebox.com), you could install the "Custom Clock" applet, which
allows you t
If you want something you can move around easily, it's hard to beat the
Radio with the extra "accessory pack" for the battery.

I would also choose a Boom instead of a Radio for a garage. I actually
have been using the Radio's alarm for the past 5 months, and it has
always worked for me. The rest of it works fine, too. It just doesn't
sound as good as a Boom, nor can you read the screen from across the
room.

Agree, mine just works. I don't use the alarm
Mine sits on my desk at work, and is probably the player I use most.
FWIW, most of the complaints about the radio are the alarm (which I
don't use, so I don't care if it works or not) and MySB, which
likewise I don't use.

I have both a Squeezebox radio and a Squeezebox Touch, both brand new.
I'm having the same problem with each in that I can not connect to some
stations- mostly Live.365 (I have an account and have configured the
account on both devices, but some other stations as well. When trying

On my old alarm clock, the most effective color was red.
So I was wondering if there was a way to change the color of the time

Glad you got it working.
You can schedule a rescan of new and changed music at a specific time
very day. I.e. after the podcast is downloaded. It shouldn't take too
long even on a slower pc.
I think some podcast software also creates a podcast playlist for you.
You could set SqueezeBox Server
I've also found that pressing the "Now Playing" button on my remote
(that I got w/ my Transporter) toggles the image size back and forth.
Ow if only the guys at Logitech would restore the function of the #
keys on my remote to be able to change the radio presets...

On the off chance that this helps anyone, I was always getting the

set the alarm up while connected to mysqueezebox.com but it had been
synchronised to my readynas server.

On the SBC, you can revert to the previous working firmware by holding
vol-up during power-on. I forget how to do this on a Radio. Maybe
vol-up on an IR remote. There's also (I think) a front panel button
for this. Hopefully someone else can recall it.

The alarm on my Boombox has quit working properly. It will sound

I've been reading some posts here that mention there was a firmware

When I finally got my battery pack I was disappointed with the battery

battery meter had drained down significantly. I would plug it in and
charge it over night and the same thing would happen the next day.
Here is the reason

need to give it a bit of a spin rather than just a few notch turns. It

Hello, thanks for your detailed and informative post.
I'll expand a little on what I've done - I think I have a solution, but
it will take a few days of observation to check. I am running the
squeezebox server software on my PC, though I intend to get a dedicated
HTPC which I can run it on soon.
