There are numerous bugs related to the Spotify app.
1. The player reboots: this happens at various occasions. Sometimes
when skipping songs, sometimes when turning the volume all the way up
(which is really frustrating if you want to party :). I really don't
know what triggers this, to be
Yes! I've been having the exact same problem. We were all dancing in the
kitchen (as mentioned, summertime...) and wanted to boost it all the way
up. Suddenly the unit started rebooting until we managed to turn the
volume down. I don't see this as something implemented to protect the
speaker
I can also add that the player seems more unstable when using Spotify
with the high bitrate enabled.

Wow, how things have changed. I was an avid swl'er in the 80's and
90's. I still have my kenwood r-5000 and r-600. I loved hunting for
stations. Hunting on the web just doesn't seem like it would be the
same. I understand that it must be a lot cheaper for the

Lowe 150, ICOM R75, and several old SW radios, including my

Wow, I never would have pegged Joe Walsh as an SWL'er :-).
I liked the Drake receivers. When I bought my R-5000, I was torn
between it and an R8. I went for the R-5000 only because I had been
lusting for it for years.
I fire up the R-5000 here and there for some

I never got in to shortwave. Would you say that the lure was the sense
of adventure and the tactile experience of operating the radio, rather
than the content? Today, internet broadcasting brings clear content
(in most cases) in a mechanical, uninteresting way which
using an aggregator under SBS only works if you are using SBS. If you
are connecting without a computer or other SBS server then this work
around doesn't do it.
