The playlist and repeat trick works in 7.4 but no longer works in 7.5.

it is a lot quieter in the forum because people gave up trying
to upgrade. I know a lot of people still staying on 7.3 and in fact,
7.3 is more stable than 7.4. (I would not upgrade if not because of
SqueezeboxRadio support).

as I had purged 7.5.2 on the server
before installing back to 7.4.2. However, the radio still downloaded
7.5.1 firmware. Probably from squeezebox.com.
I have even tried reset to factory settings and went through cold boot.
Nothing works.

Restarted the radio as instructed but software update still says
7.5.1r8837 as the latest software. The only option is to re-install
7.5.1r8837 firmware.
Looks like logitech had dropped the option to go back to earlier
firmware for the radio.

When I reinstall an older version of squeezeboxserver, I can revert the
Squeezebox 3's firmware to the older version. However, the Squeezebox
Radio does not provide such option to update to the older version
firmware. Is there a way to downgrade back to the older firmware?

screen like the radio and supports a lot of unicode languages with very
complete character sets.

So the only buttons you would use on the remote are volume up and down,
power, and numbers for the presets. Just get a $5 universal remote that
supports JVC codes.

Could that be the new version resetting your buffer time and station
time out value? Check server settings - Advanced - Network for buffer
and timeout value. Increase those values to see if that help.

have a very power efficient computer/NAS running 24/7 or with a regular
computer but set up auto-standby to sleep in combination with
wake-on-lan to save power.

Try the PowerSave plugin. I have not tried myself but it sounds like
what you need. You can install through
SqueezeboxServer-Setting-Plugins and is under 3rd party plugin.

Previously I measured the SB3 to consume about 5W when playing. The
radio uses 2-3W when playing, 1W when standby(with screen off), and 0W
when hard off.

power on.
Also, if the station is stored in one of your favorite buttons, you can
just push the favorite button directly, the radio will power on and play
that favorite. No need to press power button.

The single most important reason for me to use SBS instead of mySB.com
is the fact that SBS provides transcoding for real audio and some mms
streams. I cannot listen to those stations with mySB.com

I am new to the radio as well. The only way I got that screen again is
to do a factory reset throught Settings-Advance-Factory Reset.
May be others could point to a easier way.

Does anyone know if the radio support symlink? I am worried about
messing it up as the radio will keep rebooting if the FreeSans.ttf font
is not present. It takes a long time to recover from that. (learned
the hard way)
