If you are using EnnexOS you can clear remotely. Select the device with
the issue, then config, then parameter. Filter by 'AFCI'. Turn off.
Wait a few minutes, turn back on. I wouldn't recommend doing this
unless you're certain its a false arc-fault.

I am fairly certain you cannot reset through the portal, unfortunately. I
have done the "rapid whack method" many times. Feels kind of strange, but
works well. The message must be displayed for that to work though. So if
you already reset the inverter, you have to wait for the error to show up
I did finally get it to clear using taps but it was a lot of tapping. 3
taps after the second restart with blue light blinking did it - or maybe
that was a coincidence - and it just decided to clear then.
Bill - I did try clearing it through the Data Manager M (EnnexOS) but
there didn't
I've only had the "tapping" method work on SB-22 inverters, not on -40
inverters. You gotta log on to the machine which I think you can only
do onsite. Has anyone ever done a reset of the 8206 from the portal?

Hey Marco,
I hear you, we have installed many SMA-40's and we're not
at the same point as you may be but we've definitely had a fair number
of arc fault shut-downs which take a site visit to rectify. One
location had been experiencing lightening over a year and a half which

My company has really been struggling with the SMA US-40 line of inverters
and incredibly disruptive to positive customer experiences bogus arc

We were told by our SMA friends that a firmware update/fix was forthcoming
in mid-August and we’ve heard nor received nothing last
