a user requests a non-existent URL they get our custom
error page. It works great with Netscape, but IE just
displays the generic 404 page built-in to the browser.

I finally figured out the problem: VNC was already using :1 and :2 , which
is why I thought it was failing :-)
Also note that I accidently mis-typed and left the space out of "-- :1" in
