I've got a Duron 800 on that board. I wouldn't expect you to have a problem running it a bit faster than what they spec. I think manufacturers typically support only the maximum speed that was available at the time they did their testing. You could try going to the BIOS and see if it lets you

I should have mentioned that I have checked that. I turned off all rules. When I issue /etc/rc.d/init.d/ipchains status all three lines show ACCEPT. Any other ideas?
