I'm trying to get my Epson 1650 USB scanner working, BUT... I *think* RH 8.0 doesn't detect my USB chip correctly. I have a ASUS A7V133 MOBO that has the VIA VT82C686B South Bridge chip. I *think* the VIA chips are UHCI, but I *think* the OHCI driver is trying to load (and fails). # dmesg | gre
